FAQs
What is contained in a CheezMD board or box?
All CheezMD products are artfully curated and hand prepared with gourmet cheeses, charcuterie meats, fresh seasonal produce, a selection of olives or pickles, honey or dips, nuts, dried fruit, chocolate or candies, and a variety of crackers. The boards are served on disposable trays. For an additional fee, I can plate your board on a reusable platter. Just inquire what I have in stock and what the additional price is.
The pics that you see on this site are just samples of what can be done. I post many of my creations on Instagram and Facebook. There are also some photos displayed in the site’s gallery tab. I create things based on what’s seasonal, fresh, trending, and what you may ask for. So, if you see something you like, let me know. But, I promise (well, I hope) that you love what I put inside.
Can your products accommodate my dietary restrictions?
Of course! Anyone should be able to easily graze on a CheezMD product. I can prepare something vegetarian, without charcuterie, make it nut free, Gluten free, or “kosher” style with kosher cheeses and kosher snacks. The charcuterie meats that I use are typically pork based, so for those of you who don’t eat pork, I’m happy to simply omit the meat, or substitute turkey or beef based products, when available. Just contact me ahead of time to discuss specific dietary requests.
For gluten free, kindly add $5 to your order.
Can I completely customize my board?
Yes. The boards that you see on the Products page are samples of typical boards that I make. For the most part, I will select the contents on the board. If you want something completely customized, like an Italian board, for example, I am happy to discuss pricing options with you.
How far in advance do I need to order?
All orders must be placed in advance. Typically, I need three days notice, but feel free to contact me…I might have room. Keep in mind, I do sell out…so don’t wait until the last minute!
When will my order be ready?
Orders are typically available after 2pm EST on the day promised. Weekends are busy, so to the extent that you can be flexible with timing, I’d appreciate it.
Do you deliver?
You may pickup your order directly from me in Bethesda. For an additional fee, I can arrange for delivery throughout the DMV, sometimes even further. If you provide me with your address, I can give you a quote.
How long will items stay fresh?
All CheezMD products contain perishable items. I’d recommend eating the contents as soon as you can. Keep uneaten items in the refrigerator. Keep in mind that some items, like crackers, nuts, and other treats may become soft if not eaten or kept separate from the other items.
Do you take bulk orders?
Please contact me directly to discuss a bulk order. Snack packs, mini boxes or even something customizable to your needs are great for group events. If you’d like a bulk order (like for teachers, social distancing with friends and family, book clubs, virtual fundraisers, school events, bridal showers, weddings, or something like that) please ask.
Do you host events or workshops? Live or virtual?
Yes! I love this! Virtual classes can be arranged on Zoom, are priced per person and come with a shopping list so that you can build your own board along with me. If you are interested, send an email to cheezmd@gmail.com.
In person classes can also be arranged and begin at $100 per person.
Contact me to schedule your event.
Do you have gift certificates?
Yes. If you need one today, please email cheezmd@gmail.com and I will prepare a digital certificate for you.
Payment
Payment is accepted at time of order. I currently accept Venmo @CheezMD (if Venmo asks the last 4 digits of my cell phone are 7584). You may also pay by credit card (please note that an add’l 3% transaction fee will be applied). Contact me directly if you need an alternative payment method. Unfortunately, all sales are final. However, if you need to cancel, and are able to provide 72 hours notice, I will reschedule your order for a future date. Credits are kept for 90 days.
